LOCAL EVENTS

Drive-in Movie Theater at Buttermilk Mountain

Beginning July 1st, a drive-in movie theater, operated by the Aspen Ski Co., will be located in the parking lot of Buttermilk Mountain. Pictured above is a similar set-up for the Aspen High School graduation ceremony on Saturday, May 30, 2020. The venue may be used for other events, such as concerts and dance performances, throughout the months of July, August, and September.

Maroon Bells Reservations

The landmark Maroon Bells Scenic Area is open to visitors, however, permits and reservations are required due to COVID-19 social distancing regulations and demand management. Shuttles are available daily or passes may be purchased for personal vehicles. Click the image above for more information and to book a visit.

Black Lives Matter Protests

Hundreds of demonstrators gathered in Wagner Park and marched through the streets of Aspen for days.  Not since 2003 when marchers opposed the invasion of Iraq has Aspen seen such a protest... And that's despite pouring rain on Saturday.

ASPEN REAL ESTATE

NEW RECORDS:

As I've been reporting in these INTEL newsletters (see back issues HERE) , our inventory is extremely low,  and the demand is high.   It's the perfect storm for setting records.   EG: high price set last week:  Dancing Bear penthouse sold for $6,088 per square foot.   Just 18 months ago, my client wouldn't pay $4000 per foot for a core penthouse for fear of being "a schmuck".   Now he'd be considered smart...

ELEGANCE.  PRIVACY.  VIEWS:     Every detail of this designer masterpiece is crafted with materials from around the world - exotic African wood, Portuguese limestone and hand-carved doors from Indonesia.   With easy access to hiking and biking trails and you have a sanctuary not to be missed.  5626 square feet with gated drive and in-town location.   $12,950,000

AS ALWAYS:  I'm happy to HELP:   If you know anyone considering selling or buying in the Roaring Fork Valley now is the time!   Call me at 970-948-6786.

...and Please Stay Safe.
